Is the Rural Heritage Farm open for visitors at this time?

Not on a daily schedule.  The Board of Directors organizes planned and scheduled events for visitors at this time.  Currently a Farm Heritage Day is held the last Sunday in September.  Additionally, in conjunction with the Indian Trail Chapter of the Master Naturalists, a wildflower and nature walk is held the last Sunday in April.  Both of these events are free and open to the public.

Will the Rural Heritage Farm be a profit oriented operation?

No.  The Ellis County Rural Heritage Farm Inc has been officially designated as a Texas nonprofit corporation and approved by the U. S. Internal Revenue Service as eligible to receive tax-deductible donations as a 501(c)(3) organization.  The Employer Identification Number (EIN) for the Ellis County Rural Heritage Farm Inc is 82-3089147.
