Restoration of the old chicken shed at the Farm is complete!  Historic Preservationist Contractor Jeff Smith has done a great job of straightening up and constructing a secure foundation for the shed, which, when built, was simply grounded by its wooden panel walls being extended into the earth beneath it, and, which, in its over 100 years of life, had taken on a significant tilt!  Jeff also located replacement weathered wood and battens to repair the shed’s exterior siding.  The battered sheet metal roof has been replaced with cedar shake shingles and the exterior walls painted white, changes that would mirror the historical original appearance of the shed.
