NATIVE PRAIRIES ASSOCIATION OF TEXAS PARTNERSHIP

The Native Prairies Association of Texas (NPAT) is an important new Community Partner of the Rural Heritage Farm.  In January 2022 Lu Ann Aday, Ph.D., President of the Ellis County Rural Heritage Farm Board, toured the impressive new NPAT headquarters at the Dowell Ranch in Manchaca (near Austin), hosted by NPAT Executive Director Kirsti Harms.  On Seedballs Planting Day at the Farm on Monday, January 17, 2022, Carly Aulicky, Ph.D., North Texas Director of Outreach & Stewardship for the Native Prairies Association of Texas, and Volunteers Jo Ann Collins and Evaline Woodrey from the Fort Worth Chapter of NPAT, provided interesting and informative interactive activities for visitors to learn about the importance of native prairies, pollinators, and, yes, our humble, but important, bat allies.  The Ellis County Rural Heritage Farm looks forward to future collaborations with the Native Prairies Association.
