A FUN PRAIRIE WILDLIFE AND WILDFLOWER ADVENTURE

The 2023 event on Sunday, April 30th, was a lot of fun!  Visitors enjoyed going on wildflower walks, watching the awesome beauty of butterflies alighting on the Texas Blackland Prairie flowers, doing fun crafts that featured learning about Texas’ floral beauty, gaining an appreciation of groundwater conservation with a fun kid and family activity of making water cycle bracelets, and an engaging activity of role-playing at collecting ingredients from around the farm to make a peach pie, e.g., peaches, milk, and eggs.  A special thanks goes to the Indian Trail Chapter of the Master Naturalists, the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, and the Tarrant Regional Water District for all that they did to make the event such a great success.  Click here to see more photos of the event.
