The knotty pine dining room table and chairs were manufactured by Habitant Shops, Inc., Bay City, Michigan. Habitant was founded in 1920 initially to provide rustic furniture for the Presque Isle Lodge on Grand Lake in the north Michigan woods. Habitant grew to manufacture rustic furnishings for many national parks and Presidents.
This rustic dining room table was owned by Lu Ann’s maternal grandparents.
She and her cousins enjoyed many childhood birthday parties at the table.
