Second Bedroom

This Second Bedroom may have been originally occupied by Mr. McKinney’s unmarried daughter Orlena OR his married daughter Eula and husband Osce.

The late 19th century furnishings in this bedroom were passed down from Lu Ann’s paternal great grandparents, through Lu Ann’s paternal grandmother, Pearl (Perry) Aday.

Lu Ann’s paternal grandmother had the small rocking chair when she was a child.  The story is that she had a pet squirrel that gnawed on the corner of the chair, memorialized by the teeth-mark scar on the chair AND the print of a squirrel, also owned by Mrs. Aday, on the wall.
